    Description

Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School (MCCES), located in Twentynine Palms, California, is comprised of Communication Training Battalion (CTB) and Air Control Training Squadron (ACTS). CTB’s mission is to train and evaluate Marines in the operation and maintenance of Marine Corps communication systems as defined by the Training and Readiness (T&R) manual, enabling command and control across the full range of military operations. CTB implements a variety of 21st Century Learning techniques at all levels of instruction.  The Air Control Training Squadron (ACTS) Mission is to provide entry-level, skill progression, and skill enhancement training in the operation and employment of the Marine Air Command and Control Systems, maintenance of ground electronics equipment, and advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal operations in order to enable the warfighting functions of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.  Students in both schools incorporate the most effective learning techniques available, that includes live simulation exercises, ensuring that each Marine who graduates from any CTB or ACTS course is ready to meet the demands of their occupation and the Fleet Marine Force.
