Profile

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, CAPT Jerry Daley is a 2003 graduate of the Citadel, Military College of South Carolina. He is a graduate of The Naval War College and holds a Master’s Degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University. He is a recognized National Security Affairs expert in the Far East/Pacific and Middle East/Africa/South Asia regions.

At sea, he has served as communications officer aboard USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG 29); fire control officer aboard USS Roosevelt (DDG 80); weapons and combat systems officer aboard USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) Commanding Officer aboard USS Typhoon (PC 5); chief staff officer aboard Destroyer Squadron Five Zero (CDS 50); Executive Officer aboard USS Independence (LCS 2), and Commanding Officer aboard Unmanned Surface Vessel Squadron ONE (USVRON 1).

Ashore, his assignments include special mission ship operations officer at Commander Logistics Group Western Pacific/Military Sealift Command Far East, Singapore (CTF73/73/7); Bahrain Country Engagement Officer and Naval Attaché, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, U.S. Fifth Fleet, and American Embassy Manama.; Individual Augmentee deployment as Deputy Director, COVID Task Force, Tulsa OK; Director, N9 Warfighting Assessments and Readiness, U.S. Pacific Fleet.

CAPT Daley’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (one with Combat C device), Army Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon while serving as Deputy Task Force Commander and force tactical action officer aboard USS Mason (DDG 87) during hostile action off Yemen in 2016.
