Chris Capuano is the Human Experience (HX) Practice Lead at Tria Federal, where he advances human-centered design and user experience across mission-critical federal systems. His career is rooted in building intuitive, effective experiences for end users, with over a decade of hands-on work spanning UX design, research, and product strategy. Chris has led experience and innovation efforts across the Department of Defense, including the U.S. Navy, NavalX, and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), translating complex technical systems into usable, mission-ready solutions. Today, he applies these foundational HX principles to emerging challenges in agentic experience and AI-enabled workflows, ensuring autonomy and intelligence remain grounded in human needs, trust, and usability. As a systems thinker, he is passionate about shaping the future of human–AI collaboration without losing sight of the fundamentals that make great experiences.
