Mike Smith served in the United States Navy as a Cryptologic Technician (Collection) and Information Warfare Officer from 1998-2020. His tours ashore include serving as Operations Watch Chief and Special Signals Protocol Analyst at NSGA/NIOC Sugar Grove, Development Watch Officer and High Data Rate Signals Analyst at NIOC Menwith Hill, Branch Chief of IW/EW/INTEL at ATG Middle Pacific and Director, Surface and Subsurface EW Reprogrammable Libraries for the legacy SLQ-32, SEWIP Block II and BLQ-10 programs of record. He retired in August of 2020 and joined L3Harris in 2020, taking on roles of increasing responsibility, including: Systems Engineer, Electronic Attack IPT Lead, Research and Development Lead for Long Range Passive Fires and Principal, Maritime Business Development.
He currently leads the business development efforts in the newly formed Communications & Spectrum Dominance Segment, Spectrum Superiority Sector, Electronic Warfare Division. He is married to the former Kimberly Barnett of Beaumont, Texas and has three children: Karson, 15, Sylas, 11, and Urijah, 10.
