Lieutenant Commander Scott Pratz is a senior leader in the United States Coast Guard’s strategic modernization efforts, driving the deployment of mission-critical technologies across the enterprise. He serves as a key contributor on the Force Design 2028 Technology Table, where he focuses on transforming operational capabilities to build a more agile, resilient, and operationally effective Coast Guard. In this role, LCDR Pratz leads the integration and fielding of advanced mission technologies, including unmanned systems, next-generation sensor platforms, and artificial intelligence, to enhance maritime domain awareness across all operational environments. His work directly supports Force Design 2028’s objective to modernize the Coast Guard’s force structure, decision-making, and operational reach. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Signal Processing, from Stanford University.
