Last year, SafeLogic's CEO Ray Potter provided the "FIPS 140-2 Insider's Strategy Session" at the Innovation Showcase. This year, NIST and the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) have unveiled the long-awaited next generation of the Federally mandated certification for encryption, FIPS 140-3. (Not to be confused with the existing FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validation!)
Potter will explain what the new standard covers and how it is different from the current program, why it matters for vendors in the federal and DoD community, and what procurement officers, buyers, and the average user need to know during this crucial transition in 2020.
