Description

The Department of Defense (DoD) is accelerating its software development process to enable its autonomous systems to operate at speed. This effort, spearheaded in part through the Replicator initiative, is establishing a baseline reference architecture informed by both government and industry expertise. The goal is to create a framework that fosters future opportunities for industry to compete and scale the best of breed solutions. Key efforts underway that the Navy is spearheading include ACT (Accelerate, Connect, and Transition) and ORIENT, which focus on continuous iteration of advanced technologies that will feed into the broader Navy Robotics Systems baseline, ensuring rapid adaptation and integration across the fleet.
