Captain Ace Padilla grew up in Houston, TX. He graduated with distinction from the United States Naval Academy in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently attending the Naval Postgraduate School, pursuing a Master of Science in Operations Research.
Captain Padilla attended The Basic School, Quantico, Virginia from August 2018 to March 2019. Upon completion of TBS, he reported to Pensacola, FL to begin basic flight training followed by primary flight training in Corpus Christi, TX. Medical issues resulted in his redesignation to Communication Strategy and Operations (COMMSTRAT).
In March 2021, Capt Padilla attended the Public Affairs/COMMSTRAT Qualification (PACSQ) Course at Fort Meade, Maryland. Upon graduation he was assigned to Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST) – Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River COMMSTRAT, serving as the Media and Digital Engagements Officer. In this position, he served as a communications advisor in support of the communication objectives for the commanding general of MCIEAST/MCB Camp Lejeune and the commanding officer of MCAS New River. This role consisted of coordinating events involving VIP/general officer visits, hurricane exercises, crisis communication efforts, and entertainment media events. He supported multiple high-profile civilian-military relationship building initiatives. He has completed MAGTF Operations in the Information Environment Practitioner Course (MOPC) in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Captain Padilla currently resides in Monterey, CA, with his wife Haley Padilla and their dog, Louie and their cat, Marley.
