Lieutenant Colonel Allen V. Pollard Jr. graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Virginia Polytechnic University and was commissioned in August 2007 via MCROTC program. Following graduation from The Basic School and Basic Communications Officer Course at Quantico, VA in 2008, he was assigned to 7th Marine Regiment Twentynine Palms, CA in January 2009.
In March 2009, Lieutenant Pollard reported to 2d Battalion 7th Marine Regiment and served as the S-6 and Platoon Commander. During this tour, he participated in multiple Division level exercises and deployed to Okinawa as part of Battalion Landing Team 2/7 with the 31st MEU. During the 31st MEU he participated in exercises in Thailand, the Philippines, and Okinawa.
In September 2011 he was assigned to 7th Communication Battalion in Okinawa. During this time he served as company commander for Headquarters Company the first year followed by Bravo Company for the next year. He served his last year as the Assistant Operations Officer. Throughout these three years, he supported JTF, MEF, and MEB level exercises and operations throughout the Pacific.
In August 2014 he was assigned to Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group in 29 Palms, CA where he served as the Deputy Communications Officer. During these three years his primary responsibilities included maintaining the MCTOG datacenter and support the exercise scenario for the staff, students, and augments participating. During this time he attended the Advanced Communications Officer Course.
In July 2017 he was selected to the Naval Postgraduate School and graduated with a Masters in Science in Information Technology Management, earning the AMOS of 8848, and Cybersecurity Certification.
Following graduation in September 2019, Maj Pollard was assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force to serve as the Information Management Officer and Information Systems Officer for his utilization tour. In August 2022 Maj Pollard was assigned as the I MEF G-6 Deputy Operations Officer.
In February 2023, Maj Pollard was assigned to fill the I MEF G-6 Operations Officer billet. During this time he supported MEF and MSC level exercise and operations throughout the INDOPACOM AOR. Specifically supporting BALIKATAN 24 as the JTF AC/S J-6, Mar-May 2024.
On 31 May 2024, Lieutenant Colonel Pollard assumed his current position as the Assistant Chief of Staff G-6 for 3d Marine Aircraft Wing.

Lieutenant Colonel Pollard is married to his wife, Jaymie, and they have three daughters, Georgia (11), Ayla (9), and Gemma (7).
