Rick Jack, NAVWAR Distinguished C4ISR Software Engineer at NIWC Pacific. As a Senior Scientist, Rick spearheads the Navy's Digital Transformation initiatives within Information Warfare. A passionate advocate for modern software engineering practices, he guides teams on DevSecOps, Agile methodologies, cutting-edge software architectures, accelerated security authorizations, and rapid capability delivery to both front-line and support systems. Rick holds an M.S. in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a B.S. in Computer Science. He is a DAWIA Level III certified engineer in Engineering (SPRDE-SE) and a recipient of the prestigious Wayne E. Meyer Award for Excellence in System Engineering from NPS. With over 25 years of hands-on experience in C4ISR systems and software applications, Rick brings a unique blend of operational and technical expertise. He began his career as a Navy Data Systems Technician, gaining valuable insights into the operational needs of the Fleet. Subsequently, he served as a critical engineering and advisory resource to Strike and Group Staffs, supporting the implementation and operation of key warfighting systems. Currently, Rick leads the Infrastructure Pillar with Project Overmatch by establishing a robust Cloud-based capability and application architecture across the DON.
