Profile

Since 2018, Alex Zimmer has supported Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) systems throughout the lifecycle of development, testing and evaluation, focused on efforts such as Advanced Sensors, Autonomy and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR). Alex leads the underwater explosive ordnance disposal (UWEOD) artificial intelligence (AI) program and serves in the role of MK 18 UUV representative for the Bilateral U.S.-U.K. Mine Countermeasures (MCM) KMO 2.0, Trilateral AUKUS Pillar 2 (Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning) and Project AMMO (Accelerated MLOps [Machine Learning Operations] for Maritime Operations).
