Description

Few would argue that artificial intelligence is one of the biggest technological breakthroughs in a generation. AI is slowing gaining purchase in the military sphere as warfighters recognize its potential to provide an edge in combat. While there is a deluge of information regarding commercial uses of AI, far less is known regarding whether - and how - it can be adopted for military use. This panel will examine the challenges and opportunities AI presents in the military context and features several panelists who are contributors to the forthcoming USNI Press book, AI at War: How Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Are Changing Naval Warfare."
