Profile

Joe Rohner is a Director in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Strategic Innovation Group Analytics’ team focused on delivering data science, artificial intelligence, and analytics solutions in the Pacific and for the Department of the Navy, helping define how the Navy can use data science to become a more mission-ready organization. In this role, he manages a diverse team that develops and implements machine learning algorithms to deep learning techniques for natural language processing and computer vision, analytical applications/tools/environments, and robotic process automation that enables organizations to advance their technical sophistication with new data science and machine learning techniques. Joe has supported the Department of the Navy for over 14 years on a variety of analytics and data science engagements and acted as a lead architect of the Data Science track for Navy’s HACKtheMACHINE in Austin and Boston. Joe was recently selected to lead The Data Science Bowl®, presented by Booz Allen and Kaggle. This is the world’s premier data science for social good competition. The 90-day online event brings together more than 20,000 data scientists, technologists, domain experts and organizations to generate solutions for the world’s most pressing problems, such as human diseases and ocean health.
